Our church instituted a small group program a number of years ago where couples and singles can get together in small groups and meet in various homes for Bible study and other topics. The Life Group that we are in elected to provide lunch every few weeks for the Mustang Fire Department employees that are on duty. (We also try to provide some services for some of the assisted care living centers as well.) Today was for the firefighters.
One of the daughters of one of our Life Group couples got into trouble and her dad sent her into time out.
She walks over to the corner and stands there about 4 or 5 seconds and then turns around and says, "Dad, there's a spider here in the corner."
So, dad gets up with another child in his arms and goes over and uses his foot to kill said spider. Dad sits back down and the little girl returns to facing the corner.
A minute or two later, this happens.
A burley Mustang firefighter, with full arm tattoos, gets up and joins the little girl.
A fellow just has to love these guys.
