Was on the stand, and looked behind me, where three does were coming down the trail to my stand. I got the .44 mag pistol out to shoot the lead doe, when they bolted. Pretty quick I saw two coyotes filtering through the woods, and got the AR ready. The first got thru the shooting lane before I could get ready, and when the second should have been through the lane, nothing appeared. Looked around and he was sitting on his butt scratching himself. Found a little hole through the brush and hit him with a .223 soft point. He just fell over, and that was it. He was really mangy. Almost no hair on the right side.

I believe the Wildlife Dept trapped some of the dogs and infected them with the mange to spread to others. Trying to thin out the population.
I killed one West of Leedey on Wednesday but did not retreive it.
