I acquired a S&W 14-6 last year at Wannenmacher (how the heck is that spelled, anyway ?).
I haven't had much time to mess with it, took it out last year for a short while, put the grips on it, then put it in the safe.
I got it out this morning, decided to shoot a few cylinders just to see what it could do. I took it out behind the barn -
12 shots, 25 feet, standing, single action. The sights are regulated to the previous owner, and he shot 158gr through it; I think he shot PPC. I imagine the 125gr I'm using are going a bit faster, resulting in the low hits.
At least I have a decent group. I intend to shoot this one more, using my cast wadcutters. Hopefully the results will reflect the practice. I'm fairly certain that I can't shoot this revolver to it's potential.
At least not yet.
