I've put in for that hunt since the 70's and can't get drawn.
Actually, congrats on a really nice looking elk! Your comment about the size of the gut pile is spot on. I think everybody that shoots their first elk says the same thing.
I'll also echo a prior statment that you did a heck of a job getting everything usable off of that skeleton.
