Well I finally got my SA M1A. Where can I get some trigger work done to it? Its just the standard model. Gonna add a scope mount and Hawke scope. Also a harris bi-pod. Any input gladly recieved.
Don't know about trigger jobs....But as far as scope mounts.
Go with the low mount Bassett, have two of them and tried everything else
and they cannot be beat.
Art Luppino, one of the Gun Professionals on the M-14 Forum website, http://m14forum.com/art-luppino/; worked a "trigger job" on my trigger group. I'm very satisfied with his work. Cost was $35 + shipping.
Before you make the leap to scope-it make sure that's really the route you want to go. I added a Sadlak mount and Leupold scope and hated the rifle. I had my childhood vision restored and promptly removed the scope and mount. I love my M1A again.
My M1A scout has a 4.5# trigger and,at first, I wanted to change it. I then shot it some and I have decided to leave it alone. Shoot it some before you bailoff and do some changing.
Thanks guys. Yeah I've been soaking up all the info from m14 forum. I do need to go shoot it first before mounting scope. But even if I didn't like the scope for m1a it could always be eased off onto the top of that ol ruger 7mag. Haha.

Another plug for Bassett? Interesting. Considering those have a single-point attachment compared to the two- and three-point mounts from other companies, is Bassett really all that and a bowl of chili?
