double barrel shotgun getting the sound of a racked pump when the guy breaks open the action. getting the sound of a racked shotgun when a guy racks the slide on a pistol or opens the cylinder on a revolver.

improper grip on a semi auto with the right thumb being behind the slide from a SWAT, CIA, FBI, police officer type of character.

a lot of improper grips from professionals.

You'd think they'd have some prop guys that could give a little advice to the actors. There's bound to be prop guys that know a bit about firearms with all the blank firing that goes on.

A lot of the errors are the sound guys. The same guys who bring you tires squealing on dirt roads. You'd think someone would put together a consulting firm that could take a look at films before release and give suggestions like, "Glocks don't make that sound" or "that little sports car could never drag that giant safe no matter how much horsepower it has" or "that computer/phone screen looks absolutely nothing like a real OS."
