I actually saw an online version already - it allows you to put info in about each firearm - you can put rounds shoot and range reports - give me a few to find it.

Have you checked the BATF website? I'm sure they have something...but not sure if it is available to "we the people".

I use Google Docs to keep track of makes, models, and serial numbers in case anything is ever stolen. My collection isn't really large enough to require anything more sophisticated than a spreadsheet.

Weigh the expense and effort to acquire and deploy the software against the potential benefits. IMO, unless your collection is huge and you're one of those guys who's always flipping your toys for other toys, anything more complicated than a spreadsheet is probably not worth it.

I have office 2010. I don't know excel or access but if somebody could format a sample in either one, I and possibly others might be able to use it.
