Hanging a cabinet above the toilet heighth

I’m going to hang one above the toilet for more storage after our downsize. Some quick googlefu turns up 64 inches from the floor. The back of my toilet is 30ish inches. 64 looks to high. Is there a formula or just hang it where you want as long as you don’t conk your noggin on it? Looking for opinions or measurements from your own cabinets. Thanks

My 'main' cabinet is at 60" above the floor --- it does have a narrow shelf (5") that is at 54" above the floor.

In the guest bathroom the bottom of cabinet is 60" from the floor. The shelf underneath it is 10" tall.

If you plan on selling don't go too high or low. Eg bought a new house, in the master bath I can only assume they were very short. I can't shave anything over nipple height, I can see my face if kneeling. I am 6'5" for reference. It's getting changed soon.

It’s a new house. Ceiling is 8 ft in the toilet room

Sorry I was originally speaking of mirror height. I would hang it where you want. If it is a really tall cabinet lower makes sense. I don't have one in my upstairs cave but now I want to hang one in that bathroom. Thanks OSA if I'm not buying new gun stuff I'm hanging new storage.

Ours looks like your cabinet and is 55" to shelf.

Bear in mind you might want to look inside the toilet tank from time to time...

Depth of the cabinet/shelf would also be a factor.
