LED runs a LOT cooler.
Stand about 6" from the LCD Screen and the LED THEN SEE FOR YOURSELF WHICH IS COOLER! caps sorry!
Supposedly cheaper to run also. Not sure about longevity.

Im not sure what type of Vizio you have but mine turns on and displays a perfect picture in about 3 or 4 seconds.

To the OP a 47" would be perfect for a bedroom and I wouldnt go any smaller. Like I said before, once you get that bad boy home it looks way smaller than it did when you were checking it out in the store.
Also I think it was Cohiba who mentioned the protection plan which i did as well. I bought the 3 yr which stacks on top of the original one yr. One pixel goes out and they fix it no questions.
yes a tv can be too big for the room.
Same here, I'm very happy with my Vizio. I don't know why people insist on TVs in the bedroom though.
