Help pick silencer platform

I was in the same boat a few months ago, I wanted to put together something a little different for my Spectre host gun.

I ALMOST went this route, but couldn't make myself drop the ~700 for it plus the costs for the threading/thread protector...

I'd do it on a Calico. Keeps the package nice and short, not too expensive, and it would definitely be something different.

You just remined me that I have a Calico .22 in the back of the safe .... and I have had the barrel threaded .... Thanx!

That looks cool but doesn't look like it has enough barrel to thread. I ordered a single shot youth H&R to try out.

the barrel had a thread adapter like the walther

Doh! Sure enough. I just looked at the pic and didn't read the description. I will definately do some more research on this one.

You actually need to buy a new adapter for 1/2 x 28 threads so it accepts a standard silence. Yep, I have one and they are a lot of fun to shoot ...

CZ452 Varmint. 16" heavier barrel. Makes a great host, very accurate. Goes well with the Ruger MK pistols as far as hosts go.
