I have a Magpul ACS. It is one of the most comfortable stocks I have ever used including bolt guns. I might be talked into selling it but it would have to be for dang near retail.

What color of green is the furniture you have now? There are typically 2- OD(olive drab) which is pretty dark and Foliage which is much lighter. LMT009.jpg

Is your lower milspec or commercial threaded for the buffer tube?

No such animal....lower receiver threads, for the most part, are the same. The difference is in the receiver extension diameter.

Buy your stock/extension/buffer/spring as a kit then you don't have to worry about getting the right combo (if you buy from a reputable source). My favorite is the CTR.

Really? T thought there was .015 difference in diameter of the threads between the mil spec and commercial spec. Was I reading something wrong? If I did then I apologize for spreading disinformation.

Yeah, but that .015 is small enough to be irrelevent. And I don't believe any manufacturers thread their lowers to the smaller commercial diameter. Thread pitch is the same...so both milspec and commercial tubes thread fine providing you have a decent quality lower.

The main problem area is the diameter of the extension that the stock mounts over.

After a thorough examination it seems I have a standard commercial extension tube with no detents for an adjustable stock. So, I will either order a kit as referenced or take the ar to one of the shops locally and let them hook me up. Thanks all!
