It's not even 6:00 a.m. and it's already 81° !

The neighbors probably won't like the noise at 7:00 a.m. but I'm going fire up the weedeater, mower and blower in about an hour and get the yard done before it gets any hotter.

Looks like it going to be pretty hot the next several days and we've still got Aug. ahead of us.

What a difference an hour makes... Shop is almost too hot to work in now. Up 10 degrees outside. I have got to get some insulation in there.

I replaced the negative battery cable and MAP sensor on my truck an hour ago. Still runs rich.

And they make use of it! Park themselves on the shop floor in front of the AC. They vacate the premises only if I turn on the air compressor or dust collector.

Drove thru SW Kansas yesterday.
Several hours above 105.
It was 112 in Ashland.
Other than a few trees with green leaves around the creeks, it looked like winter.
Everything was brown and crunchy.
