Break the glass, then hacksaw the frame.

As Dennis mentioned, there may be adjustment screws. If so, let it down until it will lift and tilt out.

Or ask someone that actually knows...

Our Anderson doors have a wood strip at the top that is held on with screws. Remove the screws, the guide strip comes off, and the move able door tilts out.

Not a patio door, but a sliding glass multi panel door, KelTec 9mm, one shot, through a pane in that door, through a double pane window, and hit the back fence. Not me, but at my house, lots of lessons learned that day...

Here you go. My house is built around this open-to-the-sky atrium. It is 15 x 13 feet. The patio doors are on either side of the atrium; one from the living room, and one from the bedroom. They are Pella doors. I’d like to remove the doors going into the living room, so we can bring the old hot tub out and bring the new hot tub in.

Trust me on this; While I can quite handlily remove those doors, my wife has made it very clear that they also need to be correctly reinstalled. And that whole thing about correctly reinstalling them is not in my job description.

Also, removal of small child playing by the patio doors in the bedroom is not included in this project.

i replaced one a few months back, had home depot install crew do it. 1 guy had the old door out in about 15 minutes and was loading his truck back up in less than 1.5 hours. he did a good job, cleaned up the mess, i think the price was 175 bucks. a bargain as far as i am concerned
