my buddy went into a local pawn and gun with a couple handguns.
They both have red dot sights on them.
They offered him $625 for both and told him that's what they'd pay for them.
he threw $700 on the counter and said I'll take 2 more of them for that Price!
they squealed like little sissies, squirming and squeeling saying they couldn't do that!

anyway, I thought it was funny!

At least new prices that's for certain, a buddy of mine went looking for a used TV to save money and was shocked that most pawn shops want the same or more for a used TV as you could just run down to China Mart and get one .

Its just like them rent to own places by the time you pay it off you could have went and bought 3 for the price they get for renting long term.

Pawn shops are like people, there are good ones and a holes. I deal with the ones I know are good. They will make good deals on their things. Cash money talks, so have it in hand.

My experience isn't great trying to buy things in pawn shops. Usually stuff that is old, thrashed and then marked down 10% off new retail.

But that said, they won't be around long selling and buying for about the same price.

I’ve made some very good deals at pawn shops over the years but it’s always been hit or miss…..and the past 3-4 years way more miss than hit.
