A good friend of mine as a Ruger AR556 AR-15 and I'd like to get him a nice Bipod for it for Christmas. I'm not sure what will fit it! I can't find any info on this on the Ruger website. What will fit it?
If you attach a small picatinny base, or even a swivel stud, the doors swing wide open for what will fit.
Do him a favor and get him a new set of guards first. Can't believe the still ship AR's with those old ones. Like Ignored said, with a rail your doors for a bipod are wide open.

Seriously though, homemade gifts rule. Google instructions and make a set of double-cross shooting sticks. Couple of dowels, some piano wire, some tackle crimps, and a pair of field points.
