Is good 223/556 hunting ammo ethical for Hogs?

I've seen a 250 lb hog on full run take 11 rounds of 223 in various parts of his body and barely flinch, and then drop with one 45 acp to the neck. If you are a good shot no problem. If you are getting down in the brush with them scaring them up take the 308!

can't use a 223 to hunt pigs they have an armor plate on their shoulder and that little puny round won't penetrate. Really should use at least a 300 win mag.....a 223 will work great. Just use cheap 55 FMJ and pop in the shoulder. i have literally killed hundreds with them.

I've personally shot two hogs, one with a 22lr and one with a 270.

The hog I shot with the 22 hit the ground before 5he spent case, the 270 hit I had to track down.
