Is it legal to shoot a bb gun in your backyard in Norman?

Officer this rabbit was stealing my just planted lettuce and I was defending my property. Then before I could get to the dead rabbit a large hawk came down and took off with the dang rabbit. Thats my story and Im sticking to it.

As long as you weren't shooting my house, I wouldn't care about someone shooting a BB gun. I would hope your neighbors would be the same way. I doubt the average police officer would stop and think "hmm that sounded like a Red Ryder, I better find this criminal before he shoots someone's eye out."

I know the way our city ordnance reads even a sling shot is illegal inside the city limits cause it reads as this: Anything that propels a projectile is illegal to discharge inside city limits, hell even your arm throwing a baseball is illegal if you want to get technical about it. Its like the open container law it doesnt say what kind of open container.
