Jacket separation?

I've seen this quite a bit, mostly from XD,XDM's though I've seen it out of other guns to ( just don't remember which ones).
It happens in 9mm and 40, basicly the platting on the bullet is tearing off and hitting the target. I think what happens is the manufacture gets some bullets with thin platting and it comes apart when shot.

Its no big deal as long as your running up close, if your running much at 25 and 50yds then I'd look for better ammo.

Just finished conducting my department's firearms qualifications. We shoot 40S&W Blazer during quals. It would be safe to say that the vast majority, and I mean vast, of the targets we shot showed signs of jacket seperation. 85 shooters over the course of 5 days....several different lot numbers...... not buying Blazer again.
