No. There was some weird rape charge in Sweden (literal translation of the alleged offense was something like “sex by surprise”), but it only came out after he had leaked classified documents and offended the world’s leaders. It seemed like a ploy just to get him in custody so he could be extradited to the US to answer for embarrassing people in power.

No. There was some weird rape charge in Sweden (literal translation of the alleged offense was something like “sex by surprise”), but it only came out after he had leaked classified documents and offended the world’s leaders. It seemed like a ploy just to get him in custody so he could be extradited to the US to answer for embarrassing people in power.
Those charges were finally dropped. Some minor computer hacking charge is all that's pending now.
My prediction?
He will walk free. He has too much dirt on too many powerful people. Minor investigation, and he walks.
He is accused of helping Chelsea Manning try to find a password to hack into an alphabet website.
Manning was pardoned by obama.
Man was looking ruff.
I have mixed thoughts about him at the moment. As I understood back early he was a conduit for whistle blowers to expose things that were truly not right. Frequently I think he was just checking to verify and then "reporting" what he found.
Later when he started releasing truly "classified" information passed to him or directly hacked I think there is a problem with that. Something truly "classified" exposing our country, our people, agents, our military, and others to outside real dangers should be considered "classified" to all, including "news" agencies even if they are provided information by outside sources. Not every military secret we have stolen needs to be shared with the world..

That is the one that pisses me off!! Makes me wonder what little nugget of info Manning had on Obama!! Smells like...... corruption !!
