Went to see a movie with the folks this morning, got the pool situation taken care of, then it was time to have some fun. So, I took my three little angles out to bask in the warm radiant light, even if it was 104..
and without further delay.
okay, so maybe i was trying to mislead a little and make it sound like i was actually with women... . .. .
the three of em later in the afternoon, after i pushed forward to 100 yards, took the bi-pod off my AR, and did some standing steel practice, and worked on zeroing the 10/22:
my real reason i went out, was to put some more practice into 300 yards with the AR, i fall more and more in love with this gun every time i shoot it.
and the results (be nice, im not a pro, and this is my second time at this distance, and i have never claimed to be a marksmen) these are from 300 yards with the AR, i cannot see the holes until i drive out there to the targets, so i am shooting blind on the paper, even with my spotting scope i cannot make any corrections or tell how i am doing; so i think i am doing well considdering:

those are the new BX-25 ruger mags, i just got em this week and this was the firs t time to try them out. they work great, worth the price in my book (21 something at cheaperthandirt) and the hotlips mag loaded from butler creak does work with them too.
i also want to sing praises for the new Nikon Prostaff scopes, the one you see mounted on my AR. they redesigned them, in more ways then i could probably note, but they work great, and priced great, and they now have thumb knob adjustments instead of having to use a screwdriver or coin on the scope to zero and adjust them, so bonus!
one last shout out, I want to publicly thank Doug (HMFIC) for working with me and this gun last week teaching me the basics of proper marksmanship that i did not ever formally have shown to me before. Thanks Doug.
