Now I have a serious question, since I ride a motorcycle with locking hard bags am I in violation of the law if I get off the bike to open my bag and slip my pistol in and lock it up on school property? My truck is one thing I can disarm without setting foot in the parking lot, but to disarm when I ride I have to get off the bike to open the bag and slip my pistol into it.

Serious answer, use a cover, remove it, and put it in the locked bags. Nobody has to see a thing.

Not so serious answer: Don't wave it around in the air announcing you now have a new right. (I'll give you credit for already knowing this) :D

So after nov. 1st I will be able to lock my pistol in my car while going into the school? Does it have to be locked in a lockbox or mini safe or can it be in a console or glovebox?
As I read it, if the car is locked, you are golden. Mine will reside under the seat or in the console.
