I was up in the Beaver Creek area this weekend....saw two bucks, and alot of Deer tracks...
Whenever I hunt for meat only, I usually go for smaller does. Find a place with a lot of does. Shouldnt be hard in oklahoma with everyone killing off all the bucks.
I saw a group of about 10 doe in the field across the road north of the traders bend camp site yesterday morning
That sounds like a good strategy. The hunters that like to hunt next to the road, and the ones that get bored and want to stomp around in the woods will very likely drive deer to you. I'd take a lunch and TP and plan on spending the day.
