anyone had any luck with quail hunting around Kaw lake?
The north end of Kaw which is where most of the quail hunting is located was under water from early spring until mid summer. I don't hunt public for quail, but from what I've been told its been dismal

We're hunting private, and we'd thought we may venture out into some WMA area's..if we saw anything that looked good.
I'll let ya all know how it goes.
There is some high ground that got a good early spring burn around Burbank landing that borders some private ground that might hold some birds. Easiest access would be by boat, but you can walk to it.

we ended up doing ok. hunted about 160 arces of private and got up two covey's, and two pheasant.
we hunted some public around Uncas, and didnt see a thing.

Thick cover. Lots of milow left unharvested. Looked like it would be full of birds!
Yeah but nothing. Right?
