Recently (ie. Friday) I got a delivery with a new Leupold Mark AR (3-9x40 Mil-Dot) scope. I was able to mount it today and zero at 100yrds.
Ordered it from Cabelas' and used a few gift cards. The scope is very solid and very nice to shoot with the AR. This scope is specifically designed with the 55gr 223/5.56 round @ 3100fps.
The theory is now that I have it zero'd at 100, I can easily adjust it to 200yd, etc.. The process was effortless and I didn't bore sight it before sending live rounds down range.
I'm not the steadiest guy around as I'm still working on my breathing, but once I got my groove, this scope performed great and kept me right on target.
It's on the cheaper end @ $349 and from my understanding isn't anything compared to the high end Leupolds, however for the AR platform it seems to feel a nice place in quality inexpensive optics.
The sharp clicks give positive feedback of a change and allow 1/2 MOA @ 100yds.
Just thought I share my positive experience.
