LLC to purchase

I read somewhere that an LLC can be used in the same way as a trust to purchase and own NFA weapons.
Does anyone know if that is true?

It is true. I would have gone that way except that I didn't want to have to file taxes on an LLC setup for the sole purpose to own NFA devices. A trust is easier.

A Limited Liability Company is treated, tax wise, the same as a sole proprietor.

I wouldn't ant to have to keep up with a LLC for the rest of my life just to keep a NFA item. Not when you can get a trust that costs nothing to maintain.

I don't think there are any recurring costs with an LLC in OK and if it is a single member LLC you can do the taxes with your personal taxes so not much if any extra hassle there.

this is new to me, could someone explain how having a LLC allows a person to purchase and own NFA weapons. im wanting to get a can for my ar, what would be the easiest rout to go? thanks guys
