Yes factory. Just a hobby. Factory ammo. Not even rolling my own. I’m sure the groups will open up considerably at 1200. I envy you being able to do that. I wish we had wide open areas like they do west of here.

He had already dialed in his dope, and I took three shots. First 6" left and the next two with Kentucky windage ding'd the steel. Pretty fun.

Shot on the Marine Corps Rifle Team in 1994. We used M14s with special loads for the 7.62. Open sights at 1000 yds. 12” bullseye.

I sent about 10 rounds down range with the 3/5 SSP after I finished teaching them a radio class. Range was just under 1100yds, rifle was an M40A3, 8/10 hits on a 16” steel plate with issued ammunition.
do what? what exactly is special? sometimes I shoot at 1200yds, when I miss a deer uphill at 250yds.
