I would recommend and "optics ready" rifle, since almost everyone eventually wants some kind of optic on their AR and you don't really want the front sight in the way. You can buy folding sights if you like, but I put a Millet DMS 1-4X illuminated tactical scope on mine and am extremely happy with it. It is one of the few scopes that has a "true 1X" so you can shoot with both eyes open on moving targets like a Red Dot scope. They are very high quality with an echted glass reticle and 30m/m tube and mine was under $200

I would vote for the STAG but I recently purchased a rock river coyote rifle and man is it SWEEEEET. I cant stop shooting it.

I have owned an olympic arms plinker for several years, no compliants. Stag also makes a great ar. If your between the 2, go for the best price because there both great brands.
