I went down to Southwest Engraving today. It took 10-15 minutes from start to finish, and I like how it turned out. I might paint the area so it blends in better, but not today. She only charged $15, so you cannot beat the price. Their hours are 9:30-5:00 M-F and closed from 2:00-3:00 for lunch, so check your watch before you start driving.
Can you give me some details on Aluminum Black? I would like to avoid spraying if possible, possibly with something I can rub into the etching. I have used China White pens in the past for the opposite effect.
That is exactly what Alumablack by Birchwood-Casey is. Use a q-tip.
