Marlin 922m clip

Hi All
Don't know about Oklahoma,but is hotter than the ole fox in the pepper patch here in Texas.
I bought a Marlin 922m with a 5 and 7 rd clip, The 5 rd works great but the 7 rd jams if I put more than 5 rds in it. Is there any field modifications that can be made to the clip or is it time for a timex and get a newer one?

Don't know, My BIL has one with 2 5's and one 7 rounder they all work fine. The guns are sweet but the mags are starting to get kinda hard to find.

I might as well get my needle nose pliers out and give it a little adjustment and see what happens, I can't make it any worse.
