That is because he visited and campaigned in the fringe states like Pennsylvania/ west Virginia that obama had screwed in his quest of the war on coal.
Trump promised to save those jobs/industries during the campaign and that it what tipped the scales.
Both states with a full democratic history but they wanted their jobs/economy and voted Trump.
Clinton took those states as well as others as a gimme, and she lost those electoral votes because she was stupid.
That's the bottom line. Clinton was a stupid candidate.
If she hadn't rigged the election by taking over and financing the DNC, Bernie would have got the nomination.
Bernie would have lost as well, so it really doesn't matter who ran on the dim side.
Trump Trumped the dims and they hate it. They still haven't gotten over it and the hate runs deep.
