Calls? You guys are lucky. I was just notified this morning that I had several new Ipads and Iphones, and I need to make my payment on the $5200 balance immediately or face collections. Took 4 hours out of my morning to get it handled, and even then I'm not 100% sure it's over. :(
I had a similar thing happen a couple years ago. Apparently, my cell phone provider account was used to purchase several new iPhones that were delivered to a hotel in Midwest City. It was relatively painless to get credited back and was told the stolen phones would be de-activated. I’m not sure how that is done. It made me smile, however, thinking about the possibility of a criminal getting his a$$ kicked for selling a stolen phone that quit working to a gang banger.

Yeah they deactivated them as well. I don't know if you can do that with ipads, but hopefully so. I did get told we can freeze my credit to keep it from happening again. The only way to get my credit from that point is to call in and unfreeze it or log in to my account online.
For anyone interested, freezing your credit is better than Lifelock, but you have to do it for each agency. Here's links:

https://www.experian.com/freeze/center.htmlhttps://www.equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services/credit-freeze/https://www.transunion.com/credit-freeze
I never use credit anyway and I sure won't open a new line anywhere, so I just set them all up to be froze. Wish I could just say "Delete all my info and never contact me or provide my information again" but they love to have that rope ready to put around your neck.
