muzzle brake for Remington 597--threading necessary??

does anyone out there make a muzzle brake for a Remington 597 without having to thread? i saw one for a 10/22 that clamped around barrel and threads were on outside of the clamp. the clamp just looked like a sight at the end of the barrel to kind of make it look "too" much like a clamp...then just screw on whatever you want...anybody know of anything like that for the Remington 597? thanks in advance for all help.
