Need Hotel Recommendations in South Padre

OK, so we have made the decision to go to South Padre. Any recommendations on where to stay. Looking for something under $100/night and on the beach so we do not have to drive to go swimming.

Also would take recommendations on things to do with the 3 year old daughter.

We just got back from Padre.
Holiday Inn Express almost north end of island, 2 blocks from beach, $179.00 a night.
It is going to be tuff to find a room under $100 anight on the island.
The best we could find was $129 a night but my wife said no, based on the clientelle we saw.

We have stayed at the holiday inn but much prefer the le international condos. Better beach, less people. As for 3 year old not much for wee ones there .
