Good day all. Can anyone provide info on a gunsmith that can weld/silver solder, drill and tap, and can fabricate parts. I have a Remington 788, and the tab on the bottom of the receiver that fits in the trigger and pins with a roll pin broke off at the receiver. I know how to fix it, but don’t have tools and expertise and knowledge to do it correctly. I’m in broken arrow but know I may have to travel for the gunsmith. Any info is appreciated.

Remington cut a few corners with the ‘cold welded’ bolt handle and other areas. I had a 788 in 30-30 that had the broken bolt handle. I used one of the authorized repair shops from Remington website. The price was reasonable and I bought the gun and had it repaired for about half its value. You might start with the Remington website.
The 788 was discontinued for a couple reasons. It was outperforming the flagship 700 but warranty issues were getting expensive to fix.
