Got my new Big Berkey today; I feel like such a prepper!

Went through the priming procedure for the 2 black and the 2 PF filters; seems to be pretty slow so far. It's been about 2 hours and the water has gone down a couple of inches in the upper chamber.

I'll leave it over night and see what it looks like in the morning.

Sure is shiny! Shiny new things are cool!

Do you guys use the PF filters? With the filters mine still has about 2.5 inches of water in the top after sitting overnight.
I think I'll try it without the PF filters and see if it's any faster; not that I really need it to be right now.

I run two black filters in our Big Berkey. It filters pretty quick and never leaves much in the top chamber.

It took me a couple attempts to get mine primed right. Enjoy!
