Should require it.
Considering how so many kids are being tasked with raising themselves it’s probably the best chance for them to learn gun safety.

I think it's a good idea. If a kid doesn't know HOW to be safe with a gun accidents are WAY more likely to happen. Because IF they find one they ARE gonna "touch" it. Forbidden things hold an allure not many of us can NOT resist ...

Fine and dandy. Good idea. As long as some Democrat does not come along next and say, let's just make it mandatory before owning a gun. And the state will teach it outside school curriculum. Gotta think like a lib anytime something is 'required'. One inch at a time.
Schools used to teach gun safety and shooting, I think it would be a great idea. Gettin’ back to basics….reading, writing, arithmetic and skinning squirrels. 
I sure hope they start a teachin that there triggernometry, my daughter is the worst shot in the family.
Oklahoma game wardens taught those seminars when I was in grade school,,,
