1169 yards? Kid's stuff. A Canadian sniper used a McMillan Tac-50 LRSW for confirmed kills at 2430 and 2310 meters during Operation Anaconda in March of 2002.

That first video you posted wasn't a sniper in Afghanistan. That was someone shooting rock chuck, aka yellow-bellied marmots.
How do you figure? Everything I've found about the event indicate it was the McMillan Tac-50/C 15. That is the standard Canadian long range sniper rifle.

If you notice in the vid that the conditions were perfect and the target looks huge. He had only 3/4 MOA dialed for spin drift at that distance and he had a "no wind" condition.
Not easy but not hard.
