Anyone use nitrogen in their buckets or barrels of food stores to remove the oxygen? Or maybe pressurizing it in a burial vault?

Isn't nitrogen lighter than oxygen? I purge my homebrew with co2 when I transfer it so it has a blanket of co2 to protect it from oxidation.

I would try Dry ice.

Some of those large vacuume Bags?
Comes in rolls. one could fit guns, food, etc, and a good seal will insure no moisture will ever get inside.

There is no need to try and inject nitrogen into a bag, by using oxygen absorbers you remove the oxygen in the bag leaving the nitrogen already present in the air. Remember air is already 78% nitrogen. Commercial packagers inject nitrogen to purge the oxygen because it is faster.

You could use Argon, which is a noble gas and is heavier than air.
