If you live in the city limits can you bow hunt deer? Using a firearm would be a no no as you are in the city limits. Can you duck hunt with a shotgun? Tried to google it and didn’t come up with much. Appreciate any help.

thanks

Bow hunting is allowed as long as the local code doesn't restrict it. A HOA may have differing rules as well. Shotgun hunting of ducks is allowed in city limits as Draper, Thunderbird and even Stinchcomb have seasons. If you're hunting private land surrounded by housing, expect an officer of some sort to show up though. There are regulations in place that restrict the discharge of a firearm within city limits, but the further you go out, the less they are enforced.

There used to be a paragraph in the regs that stated you could hunt fowl with a shotgun if you were 100 yards from a roadway or dwelling. I’ve looked for it recently with no luck.

Our neighborhood is at edge of city limits and we had duck/geese hunters last weekend.

If the truth were known there are probably people all over that neighborhood that feed the deer.
A state record archery deer at one time was one of those “close to home” bucks.

FWIW, OKC ordinances don't apply to Dirtybird, as it's inside the Norman city limits. (Norman city ordinances do allow hunting on land zoned agricultural, or at least they did last I checked.)
