I thought they voted the other day and over turned the veto about it 72-24.

http://www.koco.com/politics/23594407/detail.html

Was the vote your talking about from the Senate??

Nope.

The article on Fox25.com said the house. Also stated 11 dems who voted yes on it the first time either voted no or did not vote at all. Anxious to see the names of those 11 democrats.

I read this as 11 democrats with NO-BACKBONE changed their vote!

LOL I bet you that the 11 democrats did not even know what the voted for the first time!!! LOL

Who was #11? Maybe I missed? Please let me know so my blog post will be accurate. Feel free to let me know in a comment there, because I am trying to attract advertisers. :-)

They only voted for it the first time because they knew Henry would veto it...playing both sides. There was no pressure. The veto vote just exposes the lie...

Too bad the rules don't say 2/3 of those present to override. That way the weenies (like my rep Morrisette) who choose not to vote would become moot.

base on a 65/29 vote the override would have passed.

Never happen though. Now guys like morrisette can say they voted for the bill and didn't vote not to override and be telling the truth. They know that most of the voters won't ever bother to check the details.

Its our responsibility to remember this and hold them accountable when their term comes up again. As posted above, there is still hope. Go to the HB 3354 Open Carry Thread in the 2A forum.

I happen to be in a district that is represented by a Nay Sayer. I just got through sending a nice but firm E-mail about this subject. I don't know that I will carry openly if this passes, but I would like the have the option if I choose to.
