Certainly not top of the line.
But for someone who's not going to go out and try to wear it out they are decent.
If you're looking for a gun to use fairly regularly it might not be the best choice.

I think it should probably be pointed out that the company went through different ownership groups, and I had thought the internet urban legends said that the quality varied a lot depending on which ownership group was in charge of manufacturing them.

My experience; I had a bulldog in 44spl that I carried for a good 10 years.
Shot the crap out of it. Traded it for a stainless model that I carried for another 10 years and didn't shoot quite as much. Both performed flawlessly.
But as stated there are some lemons out there. If I had one that I carried now I would shoot it enough to feel it was okay and then not worry about it. I mean you have a chance of anything failing. Their mechanical and so there's a chance any might have a problem.
