Questions from a new run-n-gunner:
1. My 14-year-old wants to run with me and watch (naturally, he would not carry anything for me). Is that allowed?
2. English kanigit's comment about ticks prompts me to ask, do we have to crawl through brushy areas or woods, where we're likely to get ticks? If so I'll plan accordingly, as you suggested.

1. Yes, that's allowed - you will need to sign a waiver as his guardian.
2. Yep - ticks, wasps, snakes...they will all be available.

TedKennedy and I spent Independence Day setting up the Run 'n Gun stages and testing them out! Here we are banging steel at 500 yards, and shooting strong side and weak side on the dummy drag stage.

I really wish I could make it, but I was selected as an alternate for Boys Nation, and I have to be on call for that.

104 today... anybody out running in this heat? I know TK did. I'm still nursing a hurt foot, but hope to get a good couple runs in with gear before the event... maybe one or two without.

I put in 4 miles today and I can't wait to do the 10k in a couple weeks. It was miserable, but do able.
