As the title says, convince me. What is all the excitement about concerning the PDW stock?

Looks like the cheek weld would be awkward.
How's the weight? Are you using a regular mil spec bcg?
Weight as shown is about 5.5 lbs. The PDW stock kit includes a propriatary bcg and spring. A standard bcg will not work. The attached pic shows the kit in more detail.
This is the one that is giving me a warm fuzzy. Everything but the price anyhow. Uses any standard BCG. Complete assembled lower weight with LPK, Grip, buffer and spring is 2Lbs 4oz.

Probably, but at close range with quality red dot sights, cheek weld is something some might be willing to sacrifice for reduced length and increased maneuverability.
