The persimmon trees should be loaded right now and ripening.
I've never had good luck with them...
I know they are great, but you have to hit them right. Seems like every time I found a good persimmon patch, I'd keep an eye on it and see they are ripe then a few days later I'd go back to hunt and they'd already be wiped out and bare lol.

We have a very large pear tree that my late father in-law grafted with several persimmon limbs and both the pears and persimmons are dropping now and there is a big doe with two small spotted fawns that frequent that tree several times a day. They can't keep up with the pears but they sure are enjoying all those persimmons....
Anyone checked a seed yet?
Tell me what to look for and I'll check tomorrow. I've heard about this before but, I guess my "old timers" kicked in and I don't remember....
