Deer - They’re Why I Can’t Have Nice Things

This happened last night. This pine tree is 15 yards from my house. I knew I should have put a “cage” around it, but never got around to it. Figure its likely not going to make it.

Had that issue with some small apple trees. Except it was my goats. Since I caged them (the trees and the goats) they've been fine.

We had on in our yard we had been babying for 2 years. Knew it needed a cage. Kept telling my wife I would get to it. Screwed around and then it was too late. My bad.

Yep, they will eat almost anything. They got all my jalapeno blooms and most of the stems one year.

We lost our peach trees to deer. Saw them eating the bark after they ate the limbs as high as they could reach them. Thought they would be done until seeing they girdled the tree bark about 3’ up.
