Picking Ammo

Buying the wife a small handgun for Xmas.

Im assuming ammo will become scarce regardless, but is 9mm still really hard to come by?

is .40 or even .380 more readily available?

Here in Tulsa 9mm is easy to come by Wal-Mart, Academy, Bass Pro. I see plenty of .40.

Never had a prob finding 9mm ammo. Academy or WM usually has 9mm...I never look for 40 cal because I don't have one.
