If you mean the one where he's wearing a helmet and looks like he's ten, he's wearing his lieutenant's bar, so he'd be at least 19 (he was promoted to 2nd Lt. in the fall of 1944, well after his 19th birthday).IIRC, the pic of Audy Murphy in uniform , he was 16.
It's amazing--with all the things he'd seen and done at that point, he still looked like he wasn't ready to start shaving...and by the course of his life, he was almost middle-aged at nineteen. I just recently re-read To Hell And Back, and he certainly seemed a lot older than 19 at that point in his life...good find, Sooner. I missed the looye bars, was just looking at his face and the pot. Yes, he was past 19 in that pic and still looked 10.
