Im wanting to refinish a frame and wondering what's better melonite, chrome, robar or ceracote?
I want something extremely durable that will last and be easy to clean. I don't want to worry about a solvent messing with it.

in order, hardchrome, robar NP3, melonite, cerakote.
A PVD finish like "ionbond' is the most durable, but is slightly more susceptible to corrosion than hardchrome.
If you do your part, any or these treatments are pretty good.

Hey yeller......what kind of coating do you recommend for a plastic/polymer material? I have a Sig 556 that I want to change the furniture color from black to green.

I think I'm going to go with nib. I'm just wondering if it's going to discolor or darken? Over time. It will be on a class 3 full auto and lowers don't get the heat like the upper. But in 10-15 years I'm just wondering what it will look like. Also wmdguns will do class 3. Fail zero won't do frames
