Gentlemen, the L-5

The action moves 2 mm. The caseless ammo is in its own chamber which ejects taking the heat of firing with it. No magazines to carry just the ammo packs.

Cool concept but dont see it being much more than a novelty. Wonder how much a 30rd pack of ammo weighs

Not a new concept. Was waiting on 1 in the late 80's, preorders were never filled.

I don't know. Those four packs might be carbon fiber and all the weight might be boooolitz.

I can see potential in this. A carbon fibre barrel with replaceable liners would be very light. Carbon fibre "mags". No reciprocating weight. Add in select fire modes and variable rates of fire. You could conceivably have every soldier toting a SAW. Yes, I think it could work with enough $$$ for the R&D.
