Rainy Day Opening Day Blues

Personally I hope it rains a plenty. Wheat needs another good rain before turning cattle out on it. Deer live in it regardless. If it it keeps a few nanny hunters out of the woods, they have about 50 more days of season. I won't turn down rain during this drought for a comfortable day outside.

I'm a big sissy when it comes to lightning I tried to ride out a storm in a tree while bowhunting years ago and finally chickened out that lightning was coming straight down then seemed like it chased me back to the truck. I ran as hard as I could and those bolts seemed to be right behind me.

Raining SW of Calumet

NW of kingfisher....light sprinkles every now and then....but HEAVY fog. Couldn't see 50 yards until almost 7:15. No animal movement. No shots heard.
